Metropole Hanoi includes two areas: the Heritage Wing (in the old French style) and the Opera Wing (in the modern style). These two distinct designs create an interesting contrasting space in the hotel.
Heritage Wing
The Heritage Wing’s rooms are furnished with authentic colonial furnishings. While the rooms all vary slightly in decor, they include hardwood floors, rich colors, and beautifully curated French-inspired finishes and furniture. These all give visitors the impression that they are traveling back in time.
Amenities in all rooms include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea- and coffee-making facilities, desks, telephones, safes, and free Wi-Fi. The suites include a butler service that is available 24/7.
Bathrooms include either walk-in showers and tubs or shower/tub combos with hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, and Hermes or Lanvin toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
The bedrooms in the Heritage Wing are small, but they are carefully designed to be fully furnished while not feeling cramped.

Opera Wing
The reason for the name “Opera Wing” is because this lobby is only a few steps from the Hanoi Opera House. Different from the classic History Wing, the more contemporary Opera Wing was added from 1994-1996, along with the Metropole Center office tower, whose offices were converted to additional hotel rooms in 2008.
The Opera Wing creates a harmonious blend between the historic and modern elements of the hotel, and great care was taken to respect the rich heritage of the site while installing state-of-the-art technology.
The Opera Wing features three types of rooms, including:
- Premium has an area of 32m2, the room has a bed size of Queen/Twin bed, Lanvin bathroom amenities.
- Grand Premium has an area of 48m2, one King bed and can add an extra bed, French bath with separate shower, Hermès bathroom amenities.
- Prestige Suite has an area of 64m2, some rooms have doors to Grand Premium or Premium rooms, beds and bathrooms are similar to Grand Premium.
Metropole, in particular, provides 24-hour Majordome service (butler service for each guest) to Club Metropole members. Customers also receive exclusive amenities from the Club Lounge, such as: free breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, personalized services,… in addition to the Majordome service.

History & Bunker tour
Speaking of the Bamboo Bar, the construction team discovered the entrance to the long sealed off air raid bunker under the hotel during a refurbishment in 2011. Since 2012, the Metropole has run twice daily tours at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to tour the bunkers exclusively for hotel guests.
